Interdepartmental Research Centre in Emergency and Disaster Medicine and IT systems applied to Medical Teaching and Practice

CRIMEDIM is a structure of the University of Eastern Piedmont which aims to promote and develop research and training activities in emergency and disaster medicine with particular attention to the application, in this area, of new information technologies.

The Center, established by Rector's decree in September 2007, from the collaboration of the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine and the Department of Computer Science of the Piedmontese University, today constitutes a national and international academic point of reference on the topics of major emergencies, carrying out research activities, consultancy and training.

Professors, young researchers and technicians from various academic backgrounds are actively involved in innovative scientific research activities in various sectors of emergency and disaster medicine, with particular attention to tertiary education and the use of Web Technology.
